What has your internet dating experience taught you?

Do you find must people to be really looking for a realtionship?Or are thney just looking for a booty call?For me I find that I have met people that think they can lie and when you met in person that their profile read 6feet tall you won,t see the 3ft differrence.LoL.I feel if people just be honest it would be better.

Diane, I so agree with you. I was on internet dating sites for 5 years. I met and dated some very nice guys that were not right for me as well as some very dishonest guys. You have that outside of internet dating too.

I finally met a great guy on Match.com. We have been together since last July and all has been fabulous. Look for the "red flags" and don't ignore them:)

Dishonesty is a big issue. I was scammed my first time out. I feel like such an idiot. I guess because I was honest, I thought the men on here would be as well. I fell for the widowed, raising a little girl by myself line. Boy, I really wanted to believe. The thing is, I went to the Christian dating site because I want a man to lead me in my journey to Christ. Not even there is the honesty.

I am so sorry about your experiences. The problem today is that it is very easy to have a double life or hide things that should not be happening.

Proceed slowly with ANY relationship and do your homework! YES, I see nothing wrong with looking someone up in the county records. It is better to be safe than later sorry. That goes for men as well as women!!
